Costa Rica
The Costarican ecovolontary project was the first one of GEV-FpS in
1993. Firstly GEV collaborated with Minae rangers and afterward they
supported the local association ASEPALECO for the creation of the
Karen Mogensen Reserve. An agreement with FONAFIFO was made to sell
CSA (Payments of Environmental Service) in accordance with Kyoto
protocol to mitigate carbon dioxide emission through regenerating
forest absorption. Many students of different italian schools
partecipate to an international excange with Costarican school. In
this way they have been able to realize how much this country is ahead
in protecting nature.
